[30/04/2010] IPad: Could replace a DVD player in your car?

Ipad has been on the market not long but some people already finding its benefits also in their cars.

Could Ipad really replace your DVD player? It could be cheaper to buy 2 ipads which can work independently rather than portable dual dvd player. The main problem with Ipad would be mounting it in your car.

However, some technicians did it already in their Toyota dashboard. With in-car wifi becoming more common, it’s easy to imagine the iPad taking the place of in-car navigation systems as well – especially since navigation systems sold as options on new cars routinely cost four figures.

Finally, Autoblog notes, Ford owners might have new uses for Apple’s web tablet thing. “Pairing an iPad through SYNC with Bluetooth audio, you can get your Pandora on behind the wheel. You can't do voice commands yet, but that's coming,” they explain.

In our opinion a good portable dual dvd player is still safe and good option but we will keep an eye on the market changes.
